Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

By your history and description, the possibility of conjunctivitis (viral infection of eyes) is more likely. And this is a contagious disease. It can spread by direct contact.

So better to avoid going to labour room and stay with your daughter and new baby. Once your conjunctivitis is gone, you can stay with them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
