Suggest Treatment For Severe Shoulder Pain

I fell Tuesday night. I had replaced my microwave and put the old one on the floor. Hours later I got some towels out of the dryer. Come back upstairs and fell over the old microwave. Hit my right shoulder and head. I don t know how long I was on the floor. The next day I remebered that I had fell. And went to work but could not more my arm an server back pain. I went to work where I was in pain, tired and sleepy. I came home went to bed. That was Tuesday night. I called into work and went back to bed. I got up last night and eat some cake. The kitchen was a mess cake was everywhere. And then my boyfriend told me tonight that it took me 20 minutes in the rest room and then when to sleep and sleep at da to day.

1. The rotator cuff is a common spot of injury in shoulder injury and most common being tear-tendinitis-bursitis-strain and since there is an acute injury thus probably it could be a rotator cuff strain or tear.

2. It is wise to see an Orthopedic surgeon who will take a detailed medical history, physical examination [range of motion] and imaging scans [ X-ray,MRI] to diagnose rotator cuff injury.

3. Before you make an appointment with your doctor, some of the non pharmacological measures are:
. applying alternate hot and cold pack to the affected shoulder helps in reducing inflammation.
. adequate rest to the affected area [wearing a sling to isolate arm motions]
. take over the counter medications like ibuprofen/naproxen to help reduce inflammation.
