Suggest Treatment For Severe Swelling In The Leg

My husband has swelling in his leg. He has had 2 knee replacements in his rt leg. There is a mass behind the knee. The rt leg swells about 3 inches around. He has seen his family dr. and the dr who replace his knee. they say there is nothing wrong. blood tests show no infection. He has tried the compression stockings but they seem to make things worse. He doesn t eat much salt, his blood pressure is normal. what do you think?

Hi,

The swelling on lower limbs in your husband's case can be due to pressure on lymphatic due to replaced joint causing dependent edema, which is common after such surgeries.

However, few health conditions like heart or kidney or liver or varicosities like ailments need to be evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
