My left Testicle been hurting for the past Yr. It mostly hurts when Im bending over or sitting up straight. It s the same pain as when you get kicked there but just a more mildly pain. Sometimes it goes away for a few day. But lately it s been very consistent. However when I m laying down like going to sleep it doesn t hurt at all. Do you have any ideas of what this might be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of left Testicle been hurting for the past year. It mostly hurts when you are bending over or sitting up straight. It is the same pain as when you get kicked there but just a more mildly pain. Sometimes it goes away for a few day. But lately it has been very consistent. However when you are laying down like going to sleep it doesn't hurt at all.
The commonest causes of such a pain are either vascular or neurogenic. There is a possibility of a Varicocele. I would advise you to have an ultrasonography and color doppler examination. The treatment may be surgical if varicocele. If this is due to Nerve pinching or so, ablation of the nerve supplying to that particular area can be cut. Also see for a hernia that when returned back does not cause pain, but in other positions the hernia while protruding can cause nerve pain due to the stretching caused by the sac.
