Suggest Treatment For Severe Throat Pain And Difficulty In Swallowing

The past few days I ve had a sore throat that has gradually moved its way down to the back of my throat... This morning I woke up and felt like I had been kicked in the trachea & it was very painful to swallow. Went to dr and he perscribed me cough drops & saline gargles and did a StrepA test & culture (came back negative)... Since my dr appt its become harder to swallow & more painful... I can feel my epiglottis moving & I know that is what is causing me pain.. What do I do?
