Suggest Treatment For Severe Tonsillitis With Ear Pain In A Child

Dear Doctor, My son is 7 years old. He has tonsils problem,it is loking big almost blocking the throat. He often get s infected by Cold. He feels very difficult to swallow the food. When ever he get s cold he also complains that he has pain in ear s . He is only 17 kgs and looks very thin. Normaly whenever we go to the local doctor hear he prescribes antibiotic ,peracitamol and cough mixture. He said that at some time he has to undergo surgery. I am from Hosur and Bangalore is very close to us. Is it oK for the surgery at this age? Should I consult any specilist in Bangalore Please give your suggestion. Regards Srinath
