Suggest Treatment For Severe Vaginal Bleeding

I just got off my period last night, or so I thought. Today randomly a huge amount of blood gushed from my vaginal area (something that has never happened to me before). SO I went to clean up the mess and the blood did not look or feel the same as it normally does on my period. There were also clots/a more solid substance that emerged. After the bleeding stopped I put a tampon in just in case but no blood came off on the applicator. Any idea what s going on?

Hello,

This might happen in the last 1-2 days of menstruation of the menstrual cycle as the bleeding reduces at the end of the menstruation phase so the change in the color of blood occurs.

If this does not happen again in the next couple of days then there is nothing to worry but this happens again then I would suggest you consult a gynecologist for this.

The gynecologist will be able to guide you further by taking all medical history.

She might ask you to get an ultrasound done or a few blood tests if needed. Once she gets all the results of the reports, she will be able to guide you with appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
