General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Severe vertigo can be due to inner ear pathology as disturbances with cochlea, foreign body in fluid compartment of inner ear channels or others. Basic clinical tests with Weber and Rinne`s test, Audiometry are essential to look into the matter of possible ENT related causes of vertigo. Treatment will depend upon the underlying cause of the same and hence require evaluation clinically perspective point of view.

Though general measures can be figured out as:
- Postural adaptations
- Avoidance of sudden spinning, turning or vigorous movements of scalp and cervical spine
- Maintenance of hydration
- Appley`s exercises to control endolymph circulation
- Avoidance of very high frequency sounds
- Deep breathing exercises and YOGA

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
