My 24 year old son has been vomitting for several hours. It started a few hours after breakfast and a hike. He does not have diarrhea. It does get some cold chills. He does not live with me so I am getting feedback form him over the phone/ I need to know what to look for to determine if he need to go to the emergency room
Acute episode of vomiting are due to gastrointestinal disturbance like food poisoning etc just see that he is not goning into dehydration ask him to drink ORS dissloved water to drink .If still dehydration is there and he is unable to take liquid orally get him hospitalised.
