It hurts to put pressure on my right wrist , I can t really put pressure on it like to use it to push up or if I was to crawl or something, it s hurt since we did this floating obstacle course thing at the pool a week a ago and I had to use it a lot and put a lot of pressure on it, it is my bad wrist, id already been having problems with this wrist that we think are carpal tunnel related and I don t know I think I make it worse but I don t know what s wrong, I thought maybe I should use a tendered bandage or something to wrap it I don t know ??
1. Since the pain is for the last 1 week thus following is/are recommended guidelines:
i. Consult an orthopedic sugeon who will go through a physical examination (repetitive stress,arthritis,carpal tunnel syndrome) and may ask for investigation like: . X-ray . MRI . Arthtrogram . Arthroscopy
ii. You may consult a Chiropractor for wrist rehabilitation measures.(strengthening exercises)
iii. Ice your wrist every 3 to 4 hours to reduce pain & swelling . Compress the wrist with a bandage . Elevate wrist on a pillow (as often as you can) iv. Take non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAID's) and use a splint or cast to keep wrist immobile.
