Suggest Treatment For Severe Wrist Pain

My wrist hurst close to the start of the hand on the inner side and I also appear to have a small bump on top of the forearm but it is not discolored. I have had the pain for awhile and hand seems to go cold. I work on computers doing accounting and taxes and especially during tax season it is very painful.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The wrist pain seem to be related to the wrist overuse. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest to maintain a brace to prevent further damage. Cold compresses at the area of the wrist can also be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
