Suggest Treatment For Severely Painful Spots Like Mosquito Bites Near Ribs

I have a rash that looks similar to mosquito bites, but they are somewhat painful, particularly near my ribs. It doesn t seem to be spreading...is there an ointment you can recommend? I don t have a fever or any other symptoms beyond itching and mild pain near my ribs.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, possible dermatitis issue through any exposure to allergen likely. My guidelines at present:
- Keep the part clean with antiseptic liquid or soap
- Local application of ice 3 times a day
- Use Miconazole (2%) cream 3 times a day
- Antihistamine as cetirizine or loratidine 2 times a day. Consult your doctor or internist as per the need of the condition.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
