Suggest Treatment For Sharp Abdominal Pain In An Elderly Person

I am 53 year-old menopausal female. I have severe stomach pain, sharp. I can t sit or lay down. Can t sleep. Heat doesn t give me comfort. I had lactose free milk and honey bunches of oats for breakfast, at 8:30am. I never got hungry for lunch. I ate some sweet snap peas, about 4pm. Vomiting began at 8pm, and has continued every hour. There s nothing in my stomach. No fever. I had diverticulitis eight years ago. Should I go to the hospital or urgent care?

Hello,

Severe abdominal pain with a history of diverticulitis could be another episode of diverticulitis. I suggest you consult your gastroenterologist at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
