Suggest Treatment For Sharp Knee Pain And Shin Pain

I had a sudden shooting pain in my knee. My doctor prescribed nabumetone 500 but I m getting no pain relief. He says I probably have some arthritis, but I m not convinced that s the problem sine I had a sudden sharp pain. Pain is on the inside of the knee, just below the knee, down to the shin. What do you think? Emai YYYY@YYYY

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

An x ray would be able to determine whether you have arthritis or another bony injury causing your symptoms.

It is possible that the pain is due to another cause but this would need to be determined by followup imaging.
If there is a history of trauma, it is possible that there may be some soft tissue injury in the knee..

Pain from the knee can be referred to the calf so this is not unusual but the cause of the pain should be determined.

I hope this helps
