I have a very sharp pain in my T8 spine. My left and right shoulders and low back are becomming unbearable. I had a CT scan and MRI done last Friday in the ER bu tthey saw no herniation, just the report from the CT stating "Axial CT scan was performed. Coronal and sagittal images were
obtained. 3-D images were reconstructed. There is a levoscoliosis,
apex at T3, measuring 15 degrees. There is a rounded 14 mm soft
tissue density at the left T8-T9 foramen. This is to the left of the
thecal sac with minimal mass-effect on the thecal sac. No acute
trauma related findings." from the report. What should I do? They gave me pain medicine (Norco 10-325 & Motrin 600MG), but they are every 8 hours and only work temporary. Do I go to teh hospital for this? What is this "mass"? The pain is real, but I have no idea why it is there and the ER doctor said "I am so sorry, we just don't know what is causing the pain".
