I have mild pain in the middle of my back but becomes a very painful sharp pain when I bend over or especially if I sneeze. It stared about 8 days ago and has no gotten any better. I have been taking Tylenol as I ham allergic to everything else..and Tylenol does nothing. I am 70 years old and very overweight. Also a diabetic. Bad hips too but I can manage with that.

Hi,
I can understand your concern regarding back ache. If Tylenol(acetaminophen) is the only option you have, I would recommend you to adopt lifestyle modifications to reduce weight. Being overweight is not going to help you with your back ache.
I would also advice you not to bend directly to pick up any thing rather sit on your knees to perform the same activity. Also you can go for core muscle strengthening exercises. Exercise should be initiated only when acute pain is subsided. Would recommend you to consult a physiotherapist.
I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic.
