General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to HCM....

You are doing Jim and workout according to history ...it is good habit ...

But by heavy work out sometime there might be muscular strain and so chest pain can occur ..

As pain is on left side first get your EKG done to rule out cardiac cause ...
Treadmill and echo also will be useful investigation ..

If no cardiac cause present than chest pain could be from musculoskeletal pain.
For that take rest and light weight exercise done for few days...
Ibuprofen tablet can be given..
Hot compress useful...
Avoid bad sleep posture ..

Take care

Advise : consult physician for examination.
