Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Rectum With Diarrhea

I am experiencing sharp pain in my rectum that comes on suddenly. Cramping in my lower intestines. Pain on the left side of my colon. I fluxtuate between diarrhea and constipation. Now my stools have turned a very light color with some red in it. I have recently been told that I was bitten by a Lone Star tick and given an epipen stating that I can no longer eat beef. I have not had beef in years because I do experience this pain every time I eat beef. However, the change in the stools is a new development. Any ideas on what this could be? I am a 53 year old female, weight is 235 lbs. Not on any medications. Vitals are all well within normal ranges. YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to stomach infection.

For further assessment you may require complete hemogram, stool analysis, ultrasound abdomen and pelvis after physician consultation.

For diarrhea you can take tablet loperamide.

Keep your self hydrated with oral rehydration solutions.

You can apply lignocaine Jelly locally at bottom.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale
