Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Ribs

Hello. I have been having chronic pain right over the thoracic area of my spine. It hurts right on the spine itself. Now I am having pain around the tip of my ribs...it will change from right side to left side at times. Sometimes it will produce a sharp pain where I cannot breath for a brief moment and then it s gone. Can this be all interrelated? I do have issues with IBS-C so I thought maybe my pain by my ribs was related to that but I am not sure. Now for the curveball...sometimes I notice all of this pain is worse during certain parts of my menstrual cycle. Any ideas?

Hello,

The recommended treatment for rib cage pain depends on the cause of the pain. If the rib cage pain is due to a minor injury such as a pulled muscle or bruise you can use a cold compress on the area to reduce swelling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
