Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Right Shoulder

75 yr. old male in good overall health. Just developed a sharp pain in my right shoulder at the top of my arm on back side, sudden onset. Only hurts when I twist or reach with it. Wondering if this is a rotator cuff or tendon injury. I have been practicing my right-hand fly casting for the last week or so. This is the only precipitating event that I recall. Would NSAIDS help?

Hello,

I think this can be a tendon injury, of course, using NSAIDs can help relieve the pain and swelling. Also, you can use diclofenac gel for pain and swelling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
