Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

If you have shingles in the face and ear usually I suggest starting treatment with acyclovir (intravenous or oral) for 7-10 days and corticosteroid drugs in order to short the time of infection and to prevent the inflammation.

I suggest meeting an occulist to define better your problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Monika Dede, Infectious Diseases Specialis
