Suggest Treatment For Shock Sensation In Head

I have been "weaned" off of Paxil CR 37.5 mg down to 2 weeks at 25mg, down to 2 weeks at 12 mg down to 1 every day at 12.5 and am now off of it.

I am experiencing what feel like literal shocks in my head, not in any rythmic pattern, but randomly depending on what I'm doing. Doc says it's adrenal shock and is trying to get me to work through it by taking .5mg Xanax when it gets severe. It seems to be lessening after a month, but is still present. It does not lessen when I work out 45 min / day, hr @ 130 (I'm 51) I had a head CT 5 months ago due a spell of vertigo, and it showed not abnormalities.

I just want it to stop. Any suggestions?
