Hi, I have a tailbone fracture (coccyx) two weeks ago, I m unable to sit and when I try to sit, am getting pain throughout the left buttocks and getting shock like feeling. Looks like there waas a blood clot on this area. How can I get relieved from this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to fracture. For further assessment you may require MRI back, nerve conduction studies after spine surgeon consultation. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. Avoid long sitting. Continue back exercise after physiotherapist consultation. You may require tablet pregabalin and multivitamin after consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
