Suggest Treatment For Shooting Pain In Lower Back And Hip

I have pain shooting from my low back to left hip, down to my calf and foot. At times I cannot bear weight on left leg. Now I have just had a very sharp pain in my foot that made my toes curl up and my foot was contorted. It lasted about 15 seconds. I had X-rays taken two days ago That were essentially normal. I m very frightened.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
The pain you describe may be cause by lower back/hip osteoarthritis or lombosciatica given the trajectory you describe.Treatment options for such pain include: Different lines of pain drugs depending on intensity, myorelaxants like miorel, steroid shots occasionally/infiltration with anesthesia, physiotherapy.
I will suggest you see the Doctor for examination and objective treatment options. You may try a pain drug like ibuprofen and a myorelaxant like miorel while preparing to see the Doctor.
I will suggest you rest well, eat well and healthy and have your weight under check.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
