Suggest Treatment For Short Term Memory Loss

I am considering giving my 84 yr old husband Choline...he is in good health but for high BP under control but short term memory is becoming compromised - not unusual for a man his age but I heard that Choline and/or Inolitol are useful in this type of situation. Do you have an opinion on this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It may be an early sign of Alzheimer’s.

Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

An MRI brain is required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
