Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath While Having Coronary Heart Disease

I am female, 60 years old, high blood pressure, diabetes and have dextracardia (only my heart is on the wrong side) I have had an echo and stress test in Dec. 2015 due to shortness of breath and a TEE in June 2016. Due to continued shortness or breath with no activity, I just had a right and left cath done this week and told I had 100% blockage in in my right coronary artery with some collateral circulation. My aortic valve is deformed and I have severe regurgitation. They have recommended open heart bypass and valve replacement. What would be some of the questions I need to ask my doctors? I don t have the money...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to cardiac failure.

For further assessment, you may require urgent medical care at ER.

Physicians may procure chest X-Ray, ECG, 2d echo after cardiologist consultation.

You may require oxygen support at ER.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
