My daughter has swelling in lymph nodes in neck, pain in shoulder blades and collar bone area. Her labs are within normal range. She had a scan and there is a density on her thyroid. One doctor said it is Thyroiditis and gave her a beta blocker for her increased heart rate and blood pressure. It has been 5 months and she is not getting better. What can she do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood the history related to your daughter.
I would suggest her the following.
First of all, get the FNAC and if required the biopsy of the lymph node to confirm or rule out cancer of the thyroid.
CT scan of the neck to asses if there is cancer of the thyroid.
Plan radical surgery if cancer is there.
Plan medical management if thyroiditis is present. I hope this answer helps you.
