Suggest Treatment For Shoulder, Neck And Left Arm Pain

Hi, I am a 43 year old female. I had a fall that resulted in extreme neck, left arm and shoulder pain with arm weakness. Pain has subsided after 8 weeks but I still have muscle weakness and tingling in left arm, shoulder, hand and fingers. I do heavy lifting in my employment and am concerned as to whether injections with temporarily fix the problem or if surgery is a must. MRI shows C4-5 disk height signal are decrease. Difuse annular disc bulging is present. Focal right posterior disc extrusion measures up to 4.4 mm in radial dimension. This extrusion impresses upon right ventral cord mildly. Moderate encroachment upon ventral right c5 nerve axilla is present. No left foraminal stenosis noted. Broad-based posterior and left sided disc bulge abuts and slightly empresses on the ventral cord. Central canal 7.3mm moderately dicreased.

C5-6 Disk signal is decreased. Minimal posterior disc bulging is present, mostly to the left. Slight flattening of left ventral cord noted. Central canal is 9mm in anteroposterior dimension, mildly decrease. There is no foraminal stenosis.

C6-7 Disk height and signal are decreased. Broad-based left posterior and left lateral disc extrusion is large and results in moderate to marked compression of left ventral cord. Central canal measures approx 6mm, markedly decreased. There is moderate to severe left foraminal stenosis as result of the left lateral extension of the extrusion into the foramen. Associated intraforaminal left c7 nerve encroachment is severe. There is no right foraminal stenosis, Disc bulging does extend across the midline and minimally flattening right ventral cord.
