Suggest Treatment For Shoulder Pain After Having Thoracic Spine Injury

I have a back injury in the thoracic spine area. Have had increased pulse rate since, but no other serious cardiac symptoms. Pain has radiated through ribs at times when really bad. I attributed pulse rate to pain level, but now that pain is moderate or below, I still have it. Other weird, seemingly unrelated symptoms, such as mild constipation, occasional headaches, shoulder pain, dark stools, mild fatigue, aches in the lower left ribs. Had EKG twice, normal. No other heart related symptoms. Have had back injuries, neck injuries, and left arm injuries in the past, some severe. Have two steel plates in left arm. Due to workmen's compensation rules, only seeing chiropractor now, 2 weeks into treatment. Xrays only. Says there is a large amount of scar tissue in thoracic spine area, just below mid shoulder blade level. At beginning, pain was intense, almost unbearable. Now has moderated, but never goes away. Help....Don't know who can diagnose this. I am 52, but fit, slim, active, and have had no ongoing health problems. Due to my occupation, I am physically checked rather thoroughly at least every 6 months.
