Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Cortisone Injection
Hi if I just got cortisone injection into my right ankle (below ankle ball) and then after 2 days my problem spot seems better but the other healthy tendon (top outer part in line with my bunion until ankle wrist) became inflame and painful to walk. Is that means I got cortisone side effect ? Is that dangerous or can it be heal? And do I still need to take NSAID after 1st time injection if after 4 days I can bear the pain post-injection. Because I m worry my ankle swollen and even more painful because of oral NSAID. And what can I do post-injection ? How to heal my ankle tendonitis? (I got ankle sprain 8 months ago but still painful and just found out I got ankle tendon inflamed.) Many thanks.
Seems to be related to local inflammation via steroid injection at the tendon site. I would recommend following for you: - Foot elevation over 3 pillows when resting - Local application of ice - Intake of NSAID with ibuprofen, diclofenac and serratiopeptidase as per the clinical severity - Avoid further shots of steroid injection till recovery - Control of blood sugar to avoid secondary bacterial infection or abscess formation
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
