Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Digoxin And Sotalol

Hi, I take sotolol, digoxin, and another beta blocker slow acting (can t think of its name). For afib and blood pressure. Have stenosis of heart valve. Anyhow, these meds make me lethargic, hard time sleeping, and weight gain. Was wondering if any serotonin, 5HTP or other supplement to increase dopamine and GABA would help. Thanks, Alice

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't recommend you to take other medications like you have mentioned because you haven't any indication to use these pills which they have also side effects. I suggest you consult with your Cardiologist the possibility to change the therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
