My name is Graham Probert, a 73 year old male with a very active life style.
I've been taking Pamsvax XL for two months for an enlarged Prostate.
Since commencing the treatment I've also been given pain killers for Osteo arthritis.
Since commencing the course, I've lost over 14lbs in weight, suffer from depression, my thighs have wasted, my calves have adeoma(very swollen), and from being a very active person, I've lost all energy. I am unable to get up and get on with life. I have to take my pills, return to bed for a couple of hours until I feel fit enough to do anything.
About twenty years ago I was diagnosed with glaucoma and was given eyedrops that contained a beta blocker.
As I have low blood pressure accompanied by a low pulse rate, the beta blocker gave me similar symptons as the above.
I told my doctor at the time and repeatedly request a BP check that has been denied. as unnecessary.
On Friday, my wife, a nurse with 45 years experience asked for my tablets and has suggested that the Pamsvax is causing the problem.
She checked my BP at 90 /60 & pulse 58.
I have not taken the Pamsvax since Friday last and my BP has just been recorded at 128/60 with pulse 52.
What do you recommend?
OUR SURGERY HAS THREE GP'S AND HAVE NOT SUGGESTED ANY CHANGE IN TREATMENT.
