I was given Ranitidine HGI Friday a week ago, I stopped taking last friday as I developed small spots all over mine body. Earlier in the week I did have a feeling in the stomach, nothing to worry about, and tied eyes. Now I am covered in spots.. I will visit my doctor tomorrow Monday. Barbara
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The symptoms you describe may not be side effects of ranitidine as it is a drug that is generally well tolerated. Among its side effects, such dermatological symptoms have not been describe. What you describe sounds like allergy but to a different allergen not ranitidine.I will suggest you take an anti-histamine like loratadine, a steroidal antiinflammatory like prednisolone and bath with anti-septic soap or solution like cyteal. If symptoms persist, you see your Doctor for evaluation. Hope my answer ill help you Regards
