Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Sulfameth Trimethoprim

My doctor prescribed sulfameth/TMP 800/160mg TB. One twice a day for 3 days. The potential side effects are awful and scary. I take Metoprolol and Diltiazem for BP and afib. Am 65 years old and obese. I also have a heart murmur. Are there contraindications to taking this drug with my other prescriptions and can this drug affect my heart? Thank you, Sylvia

Some of the side effects of Trimethoprim are itching and rash, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, loss of appetite, changes in taste, headache.
