Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Tramadol HCL
Good morning/afternoon, Doctor. I am a recently widowed 76 year old male who, in 2004 was diagnosed with poly-myalgia rheumatica. I was prescribed a regimen of steroids along with a daily dose of tramadol HCL, 50mg- The steroids were eliminated after about 90 days, and I have attempted to stop taking tramadol, but in addition to the side affects of stopping tramadol, I quickly learned the tramadol was masking the pain associated with my arthritis. I would like to know what I might take as a non-narcotic pain reliever for my arthritis, and the steps necessary to safely eliminate tramadol from my system. Thank you for you time and expertise - Patrick
you can switch to NSAIDS non steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs for intermittent short term relief of pain and inflammatory condition instead of tramadol. you can try to apply it locally like dynapar spray or volini gel initially. if it does not work you can take oral NSAIDs for pain relief .generally taken after food. commonly used drugs are brufen ,voveran, aceclofenac, generally used in combination with paracetamol.
