Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Tricky. There's a lot of different reasons for side effects. some are long term injuries that take time to heal.

Others are the return of underlying disease states and these are not going to get better without treatment.

So, stopping bad diabetes or hypertension medication will result in diabetes or hypertension returning. You won't get over this.

Going on another medicine (like a previous one. maybe at a higher dose) is one option.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
