Went to urgent care last night for a sinus and ear infection (second since December). My blood pressure was 168/110, I asked about the BP and the Dr. Said to come back Saturday or Sunday to recheck, it could have been high due to infection. I have been getting bad headaches and short of breath at least 2x per day, blurred vision. Should I buy my own HR monitor and check myself through out the day? I am 45 yrs, female, 5 2 and considered overweight. I do exercise by walking daily.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your visit to ER for sinus infection wherein the BP was more than normal. Yes with the history of headache and such a high BP of 168/110, it is better that you monitor your BP and basically make a chart so that your Doctor can study and advise you medicines accordingly and if required. Cutting on salt helps a lot. As for the headache, the problem can be due to sinusitis too. If required take an opinion of an ENT ans get a CT scan done to correlated.
