Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection, Ear Infection And Knee Pain

I have a question about the meds I am taking. I have a bad cold and went to medpoint yesterday. I have been taking MucinexD 12 hour and Robitussin Nighttime Cough DM. Medpoint found that I have a sinus infection and an ear infection. I did not have a fever then but I do now (99.5). They gave me a script for Amoxicillin 875 mg, one daily every 12 hours. I also take Meloxicam 15mg daily for knee pain. I actually feel worse with the fever and headache. Can I take Advil or Tylenol along with these meds?

Hello,

Since you have sinus infection you are suggested to take nasal saline washes. Taking steam inhalation will also help. You can take antihistamines and decongestants to ease discomfort. Headache is due to sinus infection. You should get clinically examined by an ENT and get X-ray PNS done so that nasal septum deviation can be detected and surgery if needed can be done.

Get ear infection treated. Do not get into swimming pools and be careful not to let water enter your ears while bathing. Meloxicam is a strong pain killer & you do not need anything more.
