Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection With Pain In Right Cheek Bone

hi i recently (about 3 days ago) think i had a sinus infection with pain in my right cheek bone, the pain has mostly gone but i still have plenty of mucus draining down my throat, out my nose and in my chest. Today i noticed that the mucus tastes like hydrogen peroxide (having uses hydrogen peroxide in the past to heal various piercings so i am familiar with the taste it leaves). I am just wondering if this is a good or bad sign?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Whenever you have sinus infection, it takes some time to drain out all the mucous even after the infection has subsided.
You need to continue and take nasal decongestants and mucilytic syrup containing Bromhexine and Guaniphesin 2 teaspoons thrice a day.
Also you need to do steam inhalation thrice daily.
You can take throat soothening meducated lozanges.
Continuing these for about a week would gradually ease your symptoms.
Wish you good health.
