Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection
hiii doctor,,,,,i m suffering from sinus from few months. previously i got cold and use to sneeze in the morning,,,and i thght dat its jz cold, dis was 4m 1 and half yrs.......and den i got 2 knw dat i m suffering from sinus when i went 2 a dr in kolkata.he was an MD. now i m nt takin any medicine or so.........coz the medicine he gave dnt knw what hapend its side effect were dat i gain weight nd now i have started eating alot......1 more thing wud giv u a notice is dat when i went 2 delhi , dere i dnt had any problem or attack of sinus. .does change of weather play any role for sinus??? what shud i do??? wich dr 2 show?? medicine?? wich exercise?? or what do i do????

Your problems are related to the following:
- Allergic rhinitis with possible sinus and nasal polyposis.
- It seems that you were give oral steroid like Omnacortil which caused increased appetite and weight. This can be due to water and salt retention or even hormonal changes pertaining to treatment you received and will get covered soon once you stop taking medicines with glucocorticoid activities.
- Consult an ENT Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation.
- CT scan of sinuses to know the exact status.
- Surgical management if indicated.
- Medicines like antihistamine, decongestant.
- Nasal Steroids will not have any side effects as you got.
- Avoid all the instigating or enhancing factors, foods, beverages.
- Yes, change of area helped you to get rid of the allergens that were present in previous area.
