Suggest Treatment For Sinusitis And Ear Infections
I have had bronchitits, sinusitis for 3 months with fluid in my ears that comes and goes. 5 rounds of abt : keflex, z pac, augmentin, biaxin. None of these has killed it. I am a nurse and work with special needs child. I have seen primary care and urgent care multiple times. ENT today wants to get ct scan of sinus. Do you think Im getting this from my patient? if so what should i do?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Nice to know you are a nurse working with children with special needs. This may be the reason for the repeated attacks, that your immunity too is also less than is required making you more liable to get the infections repeatedly. Yes, You have to get the investigations done fully, these include: -Blood-CBC, sugar, thyroid, kidney and liver functions -MRI of the sinuses. -Throat swabs- gram staining and culture and sensitivity.
Once the proper diagnosis is done you can get a months off to see whether you remain symptom free or not. Get a proper treatment then.
