Hi,

Skin dryness and itching seems to be due to number of factors. I would suggest you to:
- Give cold compresses to several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching
- Take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl
- Stay in cool and moist environment.

If symptoms still persist the consult dermatologist for proper examination and start treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
