Suggest Treatment For Skin Infection Between Thighs And Scrotum
Dear Doctor, I have infection on the skin between my thighs and scortrum (private parts) such as itching, burning sensation sometimes, red skin , fungal and bacterial for last 1 month. I used Cipla Fourderm oinment, but no soothing effect and now i am planning to buy SEBIFIN PLUS from Ranbaxy. what kind of soap can i use? please suggest and advice. Thanking you,
The area between scrotum and thighs remains moist and thus fungal infections can occur at this site. I suggest you to keep the area dry, wear loose cotton clothes and use anti-fungal powder. Anti-fungal ointment is suggested since ointment can again keep the area wet. If the problem does not get resolved within few days, you may consult a dermatologist for further management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
