Suggest Treatment For Small Blisters On The Right Eye

I have three small blisters on the white part of my right eyeball. I went to urgent care two weeks ago and was given drops for pink eye. No improvement. Then after a week I went to the ER , where they stained my eye to see if it was infected. It was not. Then I went to the mount Sinai eye clinic and they also could not find any infection in my eye. They suggested lubricant eye drops four times a day , told me to stop the antibiotic drops. And they made a follow up appt for me for 9/15. I ve had no improvement with the lubricant eye drops either. It s four more days till my follow up at the clinic. And it s two weeks since this all started. I notice the size increase and decrease random times during the day and night. I m getting freaked out. I m not able to wear eye makeup and I m a makeup artist. This is putting my job in jeopardy. I m worried there is no cure. I m all my online research all i see are suggestions for luburcating the eye. Some sights say it goes away on. It s own after a few months. One sight says it s common and used to be seen frequently just in men in high stress jobs. Other sites say it can be drained but reoccur. Other sites say surgery is the only way to remove it with out reoccurrence. Help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are suggested to visit an Eye specialist & get physically examined. Do not try to research & treat your eye problem by your self you may further damage your eye.

Blisters in the eye may form due to allergy to some cosmetic product you might have used.

It can also be due to some infection (with herpes simplex, causing blisters & sores)or medical conditions like Herpes Keratitis.

Since antibiotics are not working you may need antivirals. Avoid eye make up & stay away from touching your eyes.

Get physically examined & evaluated. Let the Eye specialist decide whether you need medicines or will require surgery. Do not delay as its affecting your job.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
