Suggest Treatment For Small Painful Bumps On The Cheeks

Hi. I have these little raised bumps on one side of my lower cheek. I noticed it last night but it wasn t there the whole day. It just suddenly appeared. I know it s not acne because these were too close to each other and I wouldve noticed it earlier before it becomes this noticeable and itchy. I m thinking allergic reaction to my topical medication for acne or viral infection from something I don t know. I was exposed to so much heat and sunlight the whole day before these bumps appeared.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small painful bumps on the cheeks which are not pimples, need no to worry it could be due to allergic changes, hormonal changes, stress and change in life style at times. It could be due to clogging of pores of sebaceous glands. I would suggest you to apply combination of clindamycin gel during day time and Adapalene gel at night time. Application of Topical retinoids will be helpful to you along with topical benzoyl peroxide. Drink plenty of water. Wash your face frequently several times during the day with plain water. Take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take oral antibiotics such as doxycycline, azithromycin or minocycline to prevent further exaggeration.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
