Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife is 73 years of age. Her conditions are type 2 diabetes, fibromyalgia, and a phib and Cold. She has developed small red sores that start as apimple and surrounded by several more that burn and itch an will not go away! We ve been to a dermatologist twice and tried various ointments. The areas effected primarily are her forearms and thighs. Any suggestions?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Good treatment for her condition may only be proposed if the cause of the rashes is known.I would advise you upload images of the problem for viewing since your description not clear. There are many dermatological problems that may give you rashes and all these problems may have different treatment options.Possible causes may include: skin infection, irritation, allergy... I will suggest she baths with antiseptic soap or solution like cyteal and continue with the prescription from the Dermatologist till you are reevaluated. Hope this will help Best regards
