Suggest Treatment For Small White Bumps On The Throat

Hello. I am concerned the doctor I saw in Germany misdiagnosed me. I have a sore throat, white bumps on the back of my throat and petichia (sp?) on the roof of my mouth. My lips feel weird, and my tongue feels swollen. The doctor said it was a virus and only gave me an rx for a pain medication. I am worried I is something more. I also notice petichea like spots on my cheeks.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history that the Doctor in Germany diagnosed you as a case of viral infection. That you have white spots in the throat, petechae spots on the palate and cheeks, lips feel weird and tongue feels swollen.
These may well be symptoms of the viral infection as well as bacterial infection.
Almost all the treatment of anti-inflammatory, antihistamines, multivitamins, symptomatic and supportive treatment will be thje same except for the antibiotic part.
Hence I would advise you to consult an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, investigations if required and added treatment of antibiotic if your ENT thinks so.

Take plenty of water orally,
Soft bland diet.
bed rest, will all help you.
