Suggest Treatment For Small White Bumps On The Tongue
I have a hard white bump/stone under my tongue where it connects to the bottom of my mouth. For a few days, I would press on the bump with my tongue and felt a warm fluid, now it is hard and white. My lymphoid on that side is also swollen. Could this be a salivary stone?
hello.....welcome to healthcare magic....yes it can be a submandibular duct calculi/stone..the submandibular duct(Wharton's duct) open in the floor of mouth on either side of the frenulum...due to its obstruction by stone the salivary secretions are unable to drain out and subsequently the surrounding lymphoid follicles enlarge...you should immediately start with an antibiotic and mouthwash...secondly get an ultrasound/xray done to confirm calculi...don't worry submandibular duct calculi are easy to remove...you can see an ENT specialist for this...
