Suggest Treatment For Small White Patches On The Tonsils

I have noticed a dark colored spot near one of my tonsils. I have seen white patches before and can usually remove the white ones by very gently using the end of a plastic straw, but this dark colored one does not seem to want to budge when I try that. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the white patch over the tonsil is concerned, it can be because of the fungal infection like candidiasis. The other possible cause can be a stone in the tonsil. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. If it is a candidiasis, you can take topical antifungal agents like clotrimazole. If it is a stone in the tonsil, you need to get it removed surgically.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
