Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son who is 3.5 has enlarged adenoids he has seen ent and she thinks they are not bad enough to warrant surgery. He doesn t snore now after using steroid spray and certirizine every day but when he moves around in his sleep he snorts, is it better to have him more propped up to try and help him sleep better as he does seem to be tired and cranky at the moment?
Enlarged adenoids and tonsils are major causes for snoring in kids. If he is having recurrent infections and snoring, surgery will be a better option. You can propped your while sleeping to prevent snoring.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
